Emerging Technologies Writer & Researcher

Our client in 2021 launched a global team dedicated to emerging technologies.

The focus of the team is to gain a deep understanding of key emerging technologies to provide Leadership with insights to inform future developments and client discussions.

The team identifies and explores these technologies on their way from a vision to a tangible reality that could reshape our world. From operations and procurement to hands-on testing, research and business-focused thought leadership writing, the team develops programs to assess the opportunities and risks that emerging technologies present for their clients and their business, and creates content and thought leadership that markets their expertise in these areas.

We are hiring a new writer and researcher on our client’s behalf to help grow their small, dynamic team and keep them at the forefront of insights on emerging technologies.

Your key responsibilities:

In this role, you will play an important part in leading and driving the outcomes envisioned by the team. You’re likely to spend much of your time teaming with others to design and execute research programs that ultimately amplify their innovation brand and capabilities internally and externally.

• Writing business-focused thought leadership and leadership materials on emerging technologies, presented in a range of formats.
• Researching complex new topics and quickly synthesizing insights from a range of sources such as academic research, whitepapers, and news articles.
• Assist with the planning and designing of research projects.
• Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to provide commercial and provocative perspectives on issues, challenges, and opportunities related to advanced technologies.
• Engage in ongoing competitive intelligence research to monitor activities in the market and prepare reports on a wide range of topics.
• Manage relevant interviews with third parties including start-ups and established players.
• Collaborate with a variety of teams to build impactful insights which enhance the brand internally and externally

To qualify for the role you should

• Be able to demonstrate previous work in writing or research on the topic of emerging technologies and be able to demonstrate a passion and keen interest in this area.
• Have experience in a high-pace environment where you’re juggling multiple projects.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Prior experience in technology or business journalism
• Prior experience in a corporate environment and corporate communications
• Experience in robotics and AI.
