Our London themed temporary terminal experience for departing Olympians marked the climax of Heathrow’s reign as Olympic Host Airport, ably supported by Chaos Thinking.
On a modest budget, we helped turn a temporary goodbye pop-up terminal to cope with a surge of passenger traffic, into a world class ‘farewell to London’.
Over 10,000 competitors and officials left London 2012 on a sensory ‘high’ as soon as the games finished.
A focal point of the experience in the temporary terminal was the Memory Tree where departees could hang notes of favourite memories and treasured moments. It marked a great end to a year’s collaboration between Heathrow and Chaos to immerse the passengers in the sprit of the world’s greatest sporting event, through memorable experiential design.
